Launched in May 2022, Industry Raccoon was created to serve as a hub to analyze and discuss the industries in which we live. It gives a look at the side of these industries that people often recognize exists, but that we never really address.

This is not a news site. This is a site that looks at the way industries develop, shift, and evolve over time, and recognizes both how we all got here and where we may be headed. As with any industry, it's the people (you reading this, me writing this, your neighbor, your coworker, your friends and family) that drive things forward and who are directly affected by the decisions made. For this reason, it is people that this site focuses on and strives to give a voice to. In bringing some of the topics up that don't normally get looked at, perhaps there can be strides towards positive change and growth.

Starting a discussion around these sorts of topics is the ultimate goal of this site. Sometimes, things get accepted as "Normal". And with a little exposure and some good discussion, perhaps what is "Normal" can be made better. And perhaps this site can help with that process.

Where can I engage with you, your content, or others that read your posts?
Check out the Contact page! There, you'll find direct links to all social media platforms this space is attached to. You'll also find an email address you can use to reach out if that's more your style.
Where can I find content on this site?
The newest content will always be posted straight to the home page alongside any news that deals directly with this site. As well, you'll find the new stuff getting promoted on the social media accounts. All posts are "Themed", meaning that they will have a permanent home in one of the "Articles" tabs should you ever want to find older content.
Do you post on a schedule?
For now, there is no fixed schedule for posts. The target is to post about once or twice a week. By having no fixed schedule, posts can be carefully built and released without having to worry about a deadline (or worse, releasing half baked content to meet a requirement). It's a commitment to quality over quantity.
Can I share the posts I find and like on this site?
Absolutely! Please do!
Are there any plans to expand into different topics or themes?
As more content gets added, there's a possibility that more themes will be added to help keep posts relevant and easy to find. What is currently available should be enough to get off the ground, but as this space grows, additions can always be made.
Where do you source images and pictures from in your posts?
Pretty much all images and pictures come from the awesome people over at Unsplash. Best efforts will be made to credit the contributors where possible.
Do you have a newsletter?
At this time, there is no newsletter and no plan to make one in the foreseeable future. If that changes, a post will be made on the home page informing you in advance. This decision was made based on the idea of not wanting to add to the clutter in your email inbox. If you want to be notified of new content, the absolute best way is to follow one of the social media accounts attached to this space.
